Included under the accompanying [MIT + Commons Clause notice](LICENSE.react-bits.md). These components are part of the OTTO application. ## Dither - [Component and demo](https://reactbits.dev/backgrounds/dither) - [Original TypeScript source](https://github.com/DavidHDev/react-bits/blob/1b252c1cf7dea759b4ce77f72ab64566b0f81d5a/src/ts-default/Backgrounds/Dither/Dither.tsx) - Last component commit: `1b252c1cf7dea759b4ce77f72ab64566b0f81d5a`. - The original fractal wave and Bayer dithering shaders are retained. This is an integration of the source component, not a CSS imitation. - Local changes: typed uniforms; owned single-effect postprocessing pipeline; React-compatible material references; low-power rendering; no unnecessary preserved drawing buffer or antialiasing; demand rendering with a 24 fps animation scheduler; WebGL-context-loss fallback; paused clock continuity. The full-workspace canvas renders at half resolution with nearest-pixel scaling and a one-render-pixel Bayer block, retaining a two-CSS-pixel pattern with one quarter of the pixel workload. The sign-in panel uses one device pixel per CSS pixel. - `AmbientDither.tsx` lazy-loads the renderer only on consultant routes. It handles page visibility/intersection, reduced motion and a CSS fallback if WebGL is unavailable. Reduced motion skips the graphics import entirely. The user subsequently requested removal of the floating pause control and its stored preference. - Used in the sign-in story panel and as one fixed canvas behind the entire consultant workspace, including the sidebar, headers and page gutters. A warm ivory wash protects foreground contrast, and cards/conversations use solid reading surfaces. The user-selected theme colour is `#E0643F`. Employee interview routes remain free of the graphics runtime. ## Spotlight Card - [Component and demo](https://reactbits.dev/components/spotlight-card) - [Original TypeScript source](https://github.com/DavidHDev/react-bits/blob/c83b5e7e026f003af33ff9ebc3d93afb5c86ad22/src/ts-default/Components/SpotlightCard/SpotlightCard.tsx) - Last component commit: `c83b5e7e026f003af33ff9ebc3d93afb5c86ad22`. - Retained pointer-position lighting, with warm ivory surfaces and a terracotta glow, restrained opacity, keyboard-focus treatment, and no moving glow for reduced motion or touch-only input. - Used around study links. Native link semantics, focus and navigation are preserved. ## Fluid Glass - [Component and demo](https://reactbits.dev/components/fluid-glass) - [Original TypeScript source](https://github.com/DavidHDev/react-bits/blob/1b252c1cf7dea759b4ce77f72ab64566b0f81d5a/src/ts-default/Components/FluidGlass/FluidGlass.tsx) - [Original bar geometry](https://github.com/DavidHDev/react-bits/blob/1b252c1cf7dea759b4ce77f72ab64566b0f81d5a/public/assets/3d/bar.glb), copied locally to `public/assets/3d/react-bits-bar.glb` under the same license. - Last component commit: `1b252c1cf7dea759b4ce77f72ab64566b0f81d5a`. - Adapted bar mode: retains the portal/offscreen-texture architecture, original bar mesh and Drei `MeshTransmissionMaterial`. The refracted content is OTTO's Dither scene instead of the demo image gallery. Dither and glass share one persistent workspace canvas and animation lifecycle. - Bar position and size follow the native controls through resize, route-content and scroll observations. Native HTML buttons render above the glass for sharp labels, keyboard focus and touch interaction. Geometry is centered, reoriented and scaled to their bounds; material settings use a warm tint, lower chromatic aberration and four samples. - Used for the overview's New study button and engagement's Setup / Interviews / Findings navigation. Language selection, sidebar links and other controls have matching OTTO CSS surfaces, avoiding additional transmission meshes for every action. - Lazy-loaded with a local 41 kB GLB, without the demo images, fonts, scroll gallery or external decoder requests. Reduced-motion and WebGL-unavailable modes retain the CSS glass controls without loading the graphics renderer. Page visibility and reduced motion govern both the backdrop and refracted content. Focus rings, selected-tab styling, supporting button surfaces and typography are OTTO styles. No Pro components or paid assets were used. 2026-09-24 display-preference update: OTTO now limits the automatic Dither/Fluid Glass introduction to the first four seconds of a document, retaining the scene afterward with demand rendering and frozen wave time. SPA navigation and preference changes do not restart that introduction. Reduced-motion and forced-color modes do not load or initialize the graphics renderer; forced colors uses the existing native/system-color controls. No floating motion control is added. 2026-09-25 dependency reduction: Dither now uses the existing `postprocessing` composer directly, with the same shaders, sample count and frame-buffer type. Fluid Glass imports only the installed Drei material and GLTF hook. The unused `@react-three/postprocessing` dependency and its `n8ao` dependency are removed. Maath remains installed through Drei but contributes no code to the verified browser build. Complete package notice and Linux release review remain separate.
